Working with simulators

LANIT-TERCOM developers have created a complex solution, which is a hardware-software complex consisting of a set of simulators and a portable computer.

The program complex includes:

  • several simulators that allow interactive work with virtual patients;
  • software to support work with mannequins for practicing first aid skills;
  • server part, which provides storage of data and configuration information for all system components, as well as provides an interface for controlling the progress of training.

Simulators are graphical interactive applications for working with virtual patients. The main part of a virtual patient is a model of health and behavior.

The solution enables training of medical personnel in enterprises where first aid skills and simple medical procedures are mandatory (e.g., for employees of EMERCOM, airports, and high-risk facilities).

Main functions:

  • Pairing simulators with a laptop computer;
  • determining the correctness of the procedures performed;
  • analyzing user actions and recommending procedures.

Examples of training procedures:

  • Inserting a catheter, IV, or cannula;
  • adult cardiopulmonary resuscitation;
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation of a child.
